How to Get Your Abs to Show

Your abs showing is a function of two things:

1) The size of your abdominal muscles.
2) Your body fat percentage.

You must have ab muscles to start with (the bigger they are, the more likely they are to show). And then you need to lose the fat around them so they’re not covered up.

Everyone has abs (some bigger/smaller than others). And most people happen to have a lot of fat covering it up.

What you probably need to do is increase the size of your ab muscles (the way bodybuilders try to get bigger arms or chests). You can do this by using some weight resistance (crunch machine at the gym, or do sit ups with a weight in your hands on your chest). Try to do this with a weight that you can barely get 3 sets of about 12-15 reps. While you’re doing this, make sure you’re getting enough protein for your body to grow the muscle.

As for decreasing your bodyfat percentage, try to eat leaner (decrease the fat in your diet, cut out fried foods, cut out desserts) and do some cardio (running, biking, elliptical, any aerobic sport) for about 30 minutes a day.
